Affton Cougars Start Baseball Season Strong

For the second straight year, the Affton High School Cougars opened the baseball season hitting the 20-run plateau. The Cougars (2-1) scored 23 runs on Friday, March 17, in a 23-0 victory over the Bayless Bronchos (0-3).

With 10.7 seconds left in the Class 4 State Sectional on Tuesday, March 7, Clayton's Claire Millett flipped the ball into the net. The basket erased a five-point lead that Lutheran South (20-8) had mounted late in the fourth quarter and tied the game at 51 apiece.
