With supporters saying the project will shore up the city's tax rolls and opponents insisting it violates the city's comprehensive plan, the Webster Groves City Council on Dec. 5 voted to rezone the former YMCA site to make way for a three-story luxury apartment complex.

New Glendale Trash Contract OK'd With Allied

Allied Services has provided trash pickup to city since 2006

The Glendale Board of Aldermen on Dec. 4 approved an updated trash hauling and recycling contract with Allied Services (doing business as Republic Services). The new contract calls for an increase in residential rates in future years but not in 2018.
