U City in Bloom Garden Tour Sept. 18

The U City in Bloom Garden Tour will be held Sunday, Sept. 18, from 1 to 5 p.m., at several private gardens and one community garden in University City. The tour will conclude at Centennial Gardens at City Hall where a number of local artists will be displaying and selling their work. There also will be a wine and cheese reception at 5 p.m.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 the day of the tour. Tickets can be purchased at the U. City Library, 6701 Delmar Blvd., or by calling 973-3541. Proceeds from the event will go to the enhancement of all University City public gardens.

Tour participants can enjoy private gardens with colorful perennials, a Japanese Koi pond and a garden with model trains. For more information, visit www.ucityinbloom.org.
