Voter I.D., Election Notice Cards Sent To All Registered Voters

August 01, 2012
The St. Louis City Board of Elections mailed permanent voter identification and election notice cards last week to all registered voters in the City of St. Louis.

Due to the latest redistricting, some voters will vote in new wards, precincts, state senate and representative districts, and congressional district, as well as at a new polling place. Voters will find their notification card highlighted in red to indicate a new polling place.

"It is crucial for everyone receiving a voter ID/election notice card to take a minute to review their voting information to become familiar with potential changes," said Joan M. Burger, board of elections chairperson. "We are committed to working with voters to make this a seamless transition."

The board of elections is also working with elected officials, community organizations and neighborhood leaders in an effort to educate voters on changes to their new boundaries and polling places.

For further information, voters are encouraged to call 622-4336 or visit www.stlelections.com.
